The Utah Senate Education Committee amended a bill that would have required schools to sell healthier drinks and snacks in their vending machines, according to The Salt Lake Tribune in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lawmakers voted to replace that bill with a version that removes the mandate in order to leave the decision up to local boards.
